I believe that a family session should not only be a memorable experience, but it should capture the real, raw moments in your family's life. Whether your kids are having a good day or a "terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day" as Judith Viorst put it...I want to tell your family's story.
I want to remember sipping coffee with my husband in the morning, the giggles coming from the bathroom as my nieces and nephew brush their teeth, prayers before dinner as the family gathers, fun outings, and bedtime stories.
Whatever the occasion, I believe that family time is valuable, and having those photographs to hold onto is equally important.
I am available to come to your home, use an outdoor location, or tag along on an outing with you to document those moments.
For 14 years, I've had the privilege of walking alongside couples during one of the most exciting and unique times in their lives. I love the relational aspect of wedding photography as well as being creative. Taylor Sprague, a friend & photographer who encouraged me to be a photographer, told me that this "job" isn't just about taking photos. Being a photographer is about serving and loving others. I carry that lesson with me to every single photo shoot and wedding, and will forever be grateful to tell stories through photographs.
Over the span of 14 years, I've lived in and traveled to Harmons, Jamaica to minister to the people there. I've taken part in building houses, helping at medical clinics, and building relationships with the people. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to take photographs for Won by One to Jamaica. This type of photography has captured my heart! I love to tell stories, promote awareness, and empower others.

In Febraury 2011, I was brainstorming with my friend, Beth, who was my amazing assistant. I wanted to find an affordable, fun & special way to document LOVE among friends, spouses, and family, and create an event out of it. Since it was February, I knew the sessions would need to be mini, so in honor of Valentine's Day, I advertised via Facebook for 14 minute sessions (get it? 14 minute sessions in honor of Febrary 14?), and had 30 groups booked within an hour. I look forward to seeing returners & new faces every year!
A collection of some of my personal photos from my travels, time with family, friends, and my adventures with my Husband, Scotty and pup, Penny.
